I get people dancing!
Howdy! I’m Nico.
I love to dance so much that I founded Country Fried Dance so I could share that love with the world.
Since July 2023, I’ve been proudly teaching people how to two-step, grapevine, boot-scoot, and most importantly—have a blast. I’ve also built a large community of twirl friends that I’ve helped to organize to help out on some pretty rad projects that launch nationally in 2026!
I believe dance should feel welcoming, low-pressure, and full of joy. No perfection, no judgement… just movement, music, and community. You can find me all over town teaching public lessons as well as at dance conventions wherever they may be found- check out my public Google Calendar to keep tabs on me! You can also book me to come teach dance at any location or help with other cool projects, so if that sounds like something you’re looking for, let’s talk!
Country Fried Values
Dancing in Austin — Your Way
Country Fried Dance offers fun, approachable, and customizable lessons for individuals, groups, venues, and special events. I can come up with a fun lesson that fits your target audience's skill level, taste in music, and timeline.
Also, if you need a group of dancers to do a public performance at your corporate event, parade, community showcase, or in your music video, film, or other project, I got you covered!
Public Lessons for Everybody
Join weekly lessons at local Austin venues. Come solo or bring a friend — everyone’s welcome! The easiest way to find me is to check out my public Google Calendar (GCal) and copy events right over to your own GCal - it’s a resource that always stays up to date!
Private Lessons (1:1, Couples, Groups)
Learn at your own pace with personalized instruction, either at your home, my home, outside (weather permitting) or any dance studio/venue you book! Whether you just want to get a little primer on line dance, learn a particular dance, or go through a whole curriculum, I got you covered! I can also help you work on your wedding first dance, or learn and rehearse a special routine for your big event, whatever it may be!
Venue Partnerships
If you’re a bar, dance hall, restaurant, event space, or other venue, let’s collaborate to bring lessons to your customers. I’m open to one-time shin-digs and residencies that recur for some set period of time. Let’s chat about your vision and make it come alive for your client base.
Custom Choreography
Want a unique dance for your music video, film, commercial, wedding, or another special moment? I can create a line dance tailored to your vibe and choice of music or help you learn and plan a pard’ner dance that will be sure to turn heads! Let’s chat about your goals and make your dance dreams a reality!
Parties, Weddings, Corporate Events, Festivals, Dance Conventions, etc.
Add some yee-haw to your celebration with guided lessons that get everyone dancing — no experience required! I’m happy to teach a whole group of avid learners or offer drop-in lessons at larger social events. Oh, and of course, you can book me to teach at your dance convention! I can dance to your fav genre or mix it up!
Performance Troupe: Country Fried Dancers
Book CFD’s performance troupe for festivals, Pride parade/events, concerts, music videos, corporate events and more. I can get a group together to bring your dance performance goals to life. Or, if you just need a few party starters who can lure people to the dance floor, I got friends in high places! Let me know how many dancers you need, when, and for what and I'll be in touch.

The Austin Chronicle
For many Americans, the term “line dance” calls to mind uncles in 10-gallons turning their Tecovas to “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” or even an awkward scuffle around the high school gym when P.E. class gets rained out. Kicking those tired tropes outta the dance hall is Country Fried Dance, which has been queering the communal dance style across Austin into one that prioritizes joy while still keeping the skill alive.

Country Fried Playlists
I teach over 150+ line dances, each paired with multiple song options. To keep things easy, I create custom Spotify playlists for each dance and assemble an event-specific playlist for your party, lesson, or social dance time.
These playlists are shared with DJs and attendees through my Airtable, making it simple to follow along and revisit dances you loved.
